This handcrafted item and many others come from a third generation family run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering, and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

Asian vanity
Everything about this item is good but the photos are inaccurate -- because they make it seem as though the mirror is attached to the console. But it is NOT! Also, there is no way to attach it to the console (without looking for matching hardware; no hardware included, only a bracket to hang the mirror). So the item turns out not to be what I was looking for though I will make it work; anyone wanting an attached mirror with vanity should not get this item; anyone concerned about the weight of hanging a mirror by one (long) nail or (strong) screw should also not get this item. The website should definitely modify the image of the item or include a more accurate description of it (namely, that it is two separate pieces).
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? No but it is nicer, more subtle

- How accurate was the sizing? very accurate

Beautiful Piece
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It arrived quickly, the workmanship is excellent. It is much less candy red than in the photo - which is a good thing, I have other pieces of furniture that are a "Java" stain that match this very well. I would highly recommend this vanity.
