Story Behind the Art:
Tiraphan Hasub tells her story: 'I met my husband at university in Bangkok. I worked there for three years after graduating, and then got married. We moved back to Chiang Mai, where he is originally from, and he taught me the art of handcrafts. I'm always trying to look good by wearing nice dresses and jewelry. I believe many women think like me, and that's what inspired me to create jewelry that is original. My designs tend to be more traditional Thai than modern.'

Wow!
Received my bracelets today! They came in a pretty box with a note about the bracelets. The bracelets themselves are exquisite and very light weight. They looked small but, when you take them out you can stretch the material to make them larger. I love them.

They are even more beautiful than they are in the picture. I have been wearing them almost everyday and I have yet to see any wear-n-tear. I am very pleased with them. I am also pleased with the box they came in... it is almost as beautiful as the bracelets themselves. I would recommend them to anyone and actually plan on buying more for my friends.

Coins of the Earth bracelets
They are just as they were pictured and I liked them. They were bought as a gift and hasn't been given yet. My concern is that they won't fit her wrist...they are very small with little ties that may not be long enough

Disppointed
I was expecting the vibrant red to contrast with the beige as shown in the picture and as customary with the display of coins of this type. Instead the bands are of a burnt orange and instead of vibrance I get a 'dull' vibe.

Great Value and a Great Cause
Not only are these bracelets beautiful in color and decor, they are beautiful in that they are helping to preserve a way of life and commitment to a lifestyle and community for the family in Thailand that produces them. I will go to look for a gift at the Overstock fair trade section before going anywhere else for a gift.

The workmanship is such high quality I have had several remarks stating that these cannot possibly be hand made...therefore I would say that it is an excellent compliment to the women and children that make these bracelets...I reccommend buying from the fair trade portion of overstock daily to friends, family and aquaintences!!!
