The carving was OK, but the paint job is terrible. Looks like cheap water colors that were slapped on with no attention to detail, the amber of the carvings in the circles of table top and shelf are splotched on with almost as much of the paint outside the carving into the black area. I like the table & carvings and it fits where I bought it for, but will need to repaint and finish. I am not to crafty so have not done so yet. it looks nothing like the well painted,finished table pictured. But at the price for a solid wood table for someone who is crafty it would be an OK purchase
This was my first order from Overstock and I am VERY pleased. Ordered and four days later, my item was at my door. The table itself is a pretty amazing piece. I was concerned that the description online wouldn't meet expectations, but I was admittedly wrong. First, the piece is substantial (and is crafted from one piece of wood). Measurements are accurate. The description of the wood is spot on and beautiful. Definitely a certain taste, but if you like what you see in the photo, you should be pleased with the product received. One of the grabs for me was a piece that could be used as an end table, or ottoman, or even extra seating. The piece is substantial enough for any/all of those options. Large enough for a solid statement, but the right size as to not overwhelm. Recommended. Oh, and be prepared...it's HEAVY.
opened on receipt to insure the altar was as described & in good shape. Everything was up to par. Door worked & lined up correctly. wood is of good quality for the price.
I bought two tables. The dimensions and description are accurate. They are nice and sturdy. Would buy again.
