Product Features:
'I was born in Gianyar, a village that has fostered the art of woodcarving for many years. I started to learn the art from my parents while I was still in elementary school. My grandfather was a famous carver in his time, and received several awards for dedicating his life to the art world. I don't want to limit my work to certain themes only. Religion, mythology, daily life and nature are inspirational to me, as well as my own cultural history. I carve with several different materials, including suar, sono, hibiscus, and crocodile woods, as well as coconut shells.'

Beautiful Carving.
I love fish and the water so anything that reminds me of these things makes me happy. This is a great conversation piece to have around the house. It is cut from a coconut, so you will need to expect some variation - though I believe mine looked very much like the advertised photo. The color of the sculpture is slightly darker than that in the photo - but still beuatiful. There is a cutout at the bottom to help stabilize it on the dark wooden disk stand that comes with it (as advertised in the overstock.com photo).
