This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. Even better than expected!
The black one was sold out when I saw it on Overstock last year. I entered my email for notification if they were in stock again, and over a year later, it did. I bought it immediately. It exceeded my expectations. The only difference between what was shown on the website and the delivered product was that it was very glossy with well sealed inlays. I was expecting flat and was concerned about snagging fabric on the surface inlays. The product is very high quality, and it will not snag on anything. It will never be used outside, it is too stunningly beautiful. Very well priced for a garden stool, let alone such an elegant one.

The best stool size
This would look OUTSTANDING with a plant on it! I put it in my dressing room as a stool to get ready in the morning. My housekeeper put it out in the living room, because she said it was too pretty to be nothing more than a stool! It truly is a beautiful piece. It is well-packed with styrofoam and in a fashion so that even if it had fallen down a stairway it would not have been damaged. A beautiful Zen accent that is exquisite in its simplicity.

Wonderful
It was wonderful I planned on displaying it on the deck but it's so nice I now have it indoors. I'm really pleased it is unbelievably pretty.
