The stone is teal in color with blue inclusions - exactly what I was expecting. It's a very attractive necklace: modern and showy.

I guess you have to allow for some vagaries in a genuine stone as opposed to a manufactured one as i have very little blue in mine, unless you look very closely at it the stone resembles a malachite, which wasn't what I was going for, however it's still very attractive. The chain has an interesting clasp, easily managed but also rather delicate. It's a loop with a simple tension clasp to lock in place and one hopes it doesn't come undone too easily. The pendant is great atop a sweater or with a low neck blouse, but not too low, if you wear 16"-18" inch pendants ordinarily this is one that is a hefty medallion. It's a nice alternative to a standard pendant. This item took longer than overstock items usually take, as I think betw ordering and receipt about three weeks lapsed.
