Maya Traditions is a fair-trade producer and wholesale business based in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. For more than ten years Maya Traditions has worked with indigenous weavers in the highlands of Guatemala. Its mission is to support weaving groups and small family businesses through providing consistent income as well as health and education projects. The Chichicastenango Weaver's Group lives in a remote village high in the mountains. These Kiche mayan women joined together to promote their backstrap weaving. Their tapestry brocade weaving is intricate and results in unique geometric designs.

I like this purse
I do like my new bag. I did, though, have to make an adjustment to make it what I wanted. I didn't like the way it opened out, so I sewed the sides together to make a closed bag. It is much easier to use. I love the colors and design.
