This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. A good value of moderate quality
The boxes serve my need, which is to store items that have been cluttering my bureau. If I were to do it again, I would have chosen boxes with a flat top, so they could stack. The materials and construction are of moderate quality, clearly "antiqued." Keep in a dry place and they hsould be fairly durable.

Paper boxes
These boxes are pretty and I love the generous sizes of the two bigger boxes but they certainly won't hold up to much use since they are made with heavy paper/light cardboard and the clasp doesn't always line up easily when closing the lid. The top of the box looked kind of tan in the picture on line but it is actually more of a yellow. Bummer.

I love the design and old feeling about them. I was really surprissed at how large the were, I thought they would be smaller in size, but it was a nice surprise. Now the person who I got this for can show it off, instead of just sitting on her dresser.
