This ink and water color rendering is a great example of the artwork of the Beautiful Song dynasty. The silk and rice paper matt is framed in lustrous rosewood and covered with protective glass. A lacquered brass hanger makes it easy to display the piece. This gorgeous work of art has been painted, matted, and framed by the famed artisans of the Guangdong province in mainland China.
The Story Behind the Product
This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

pretty picture
This was a decent buy for the money. I like the look of the picture, and it fits perfectly in the space where I wanted to hang it. The only thing I don't like is the quality of the frame. It's just ok. There is no glass, either. It's a plastic frame. Still, it's very lightweight and I had no trouble hanging it. I 'm satisfied with this purchase.

made a great gift
My daughter-in-law was very happy with her present. It is as pictured with the only possible detraction is that the metal hanger is just a little light weight and easy to bend, but not a problem if normal care is taken.
