Story Behind the Art:
The group of artisans forms a small co-op of their own and the work is outsourced to them by various manufacturers of the jewelry. They live in small houses with their families or, if single, they live away from home and send back money to support their family in the villages. They are paid by the piece work and their daily life is making and assembling jewelry, as they are very good with their hands. Most of them send their children to school, since the schools run by the Government (usually the State Government) are free.

Bought as a birthday goft for friend. She loved it. I loved it so much I am going to buy one for myself and several more for friends in other states. The brass is much brighter than it looks in the site. Just gorgeous. The design is lovely and delicate. This would be beautiful for a wedding party. It shimmers on my friend's wrist.
