Jaipur is considered one of the biggest gem cutting centers in the world, and almost all of the goods are produced by talented artisans working in their homes, allowing them to stay in their villages without being forced to migrate to urban centers in search of scarce factory work. Traditional handcrafted arts and techniques are kept alive, and as the artisans' talents are in demand, they receive better wages than the average worker. Helping people earn a decent living where none would otherwise be available is something to be proud of and a lesson to teach future generations.

My Favorite Ring!!
I LOVE this ring!! One of my ultimate favorites. It is absolutely beautiful. The amethyst is sparkly and the stone is just the right size... not too big. I love the band, the rope pattern and the details on the sides of the ring, They look like little infinity signs. It doesn't look cheap. The details are well worth the 26 dollars you pay for it. Again, one of my favorite rings. I wear a 5.5 to a size 6 ring. I ordered the size 6 and it fits perfectly. It is not too loose and yet not too tight for when my fingers swell in the morning.

Fits!
I am happy with this purchase and hopefully plan to wear this ring on a daily basis. I like the world-look of it and the silver craftsmanship. I only wish the stone was darker as in the picture but as I am a purple lover, it doesn't matter that much to me!
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The color is very pretty, but a much lighter purple than on the display. This is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars vs. 5.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Beautifully crafted- I like the look of it.
- How accurate was the sizing? I am surprised that it actually fits as well as it does. It fits on the finger I intended to wear it on.

This is a dainty ring, cute, kept it, but the amethyst is very pale.

unusual ring
The amethyst is very pretty and true to the photo. The twists in the ring make it quite unusual. The circular bezel is attractive with the other circular details on the ring. It's just "flawed" enough to show great craftsmanship rather than a having a machine made look. You have to examine it closely to see the discrepancies - they are extremely minor. I enjoy wearing this ring with my purple clothes.
