Bougainvillea Petals Saa Paper Parasol (Thailand)

The paper is thick with a lot of texture from fibers and the whole parasol is well constructed. It's mostly a "natural" color so the decorations just pop. My mother's a natural redhead and burns easily. She'd told me how every summer my grandmother would get her a new paper parasol. She had to take good care of it as she used it daily (in the days before sunscreen). I bought this on impulse as a "memory lane" item but when it arrived we discovered it's actually sturdy enough to use outdoors. It's hanging on the wall in the living room.
