This handsome piece is hand painted in Southern China using traditional techniques. The eye-catching design is painted on handmade silk paper and framed with solid wood. This screen has 4 panels that flex in both directions for ease of use. The metal hangers included with the screen make displaying it simple and easy.
Story behind the product:
This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

The quality of this product was extremely poor. The screen arrived with what appeared to be water damage and was returned. The replacement screen also had similar discoloration. Not satisfied with the quality and appearance of the product for the price.

This is a nice reproduction or stylized hand painted screen. I needed a large piece to hang on a wall. The colors are true to the description and perfect to tie together other elements in the room. This is not a great piece of original art but a lovely representation and a very nice pick for the size and price.
