This bench is perfect for my use. Exactly what I wanted.
I like these benches. They are versatile, we have them in our bedroom to sit on while dressing, or to put stuff on. I've used them as a stool to stand on to reach in the top of my closet. My only complaint is that the finish is significantly different with the two benches. But since these are hand made, it's to be expected.
I shoped many, many websites for this item and Overstock had all other sites offering this exact item beat hands down iwith regard to priceing. One website wanted a 5 times as much money for the same product. Very pleased with purchase. It is exactly what I wanted and and it looks wonderful in my living room. Colors are true to picture.
I have decided to not return item even though I would have in a heart beat. It does suit the place where it is currently, I like that is long and narrow. It has so many imperfections that I am trying to overlook. I have had to resort in placing a decorative item on the area that these imperfections are more visible to me, they do not bother my husband. I plan to sand it down and paint with a dark color. The frame is very sturdy but, I also plan to spray paint it too. I do understand that it is reclaimed wood however, it has cracks, chipped areas and lots of plastered wood repair paste on it.
