We purchased the mahogany honey king tatami bed and were very disappointed in the product that arrived. First, it's not mahogany, it's birch and beech wood veneer with a honey finish. Second, it's not interlocking, it's assembled with screws. Basically, this bed is a knock-off tatami bed.

This tatami is one of the best available in US market. Quality is very good and overstock offers very competitive price and free shipping for O member, especially exceptional for this type of oversized heavy item. Six pieces were ordered and have been very satisfied with all of them. Color and assembling is good and consistent.

Actually if you like HARD mattresses this is definitely your pick. I personally can't sleep well on soft mattresses and when I got this I was hoping this would be the last buy I'd ever need. Unfortunately I felt that it was TOO HARD. I sleep fine on it but I need some cushion. On the hand, my family members who grew up with this stuff LOVE it. Probably the nostalgia factor or something but that's my 2 cents.

Be aware that the iron is heavy and poorly packed. Good thing I am handy at repainting, because the top flared sides are both heavily scratched. I will need to sand with steel wool to hopefully get the appearance of scratches out, prime and top coat with flat black paint. Also I'm concerned with what did I sign from those delivery guys, in all the commotion, I didn't get a copy.
