Mayda is a friendly and happy girl who is always smiling. 'I was born in East Java,' she says. 'My hobby is making designs in my sketch book. When I was little, I loved to draw houses, landscapes and the human figure. These then changed to dresses, bags, jewelry and other fashion sketches when I became a teenager, and I still sketch these themes today.'

Hmmm.
Well, I am sorry to say that I can't use this as a scarf at all. It is a halloween-orange rectangle of cotton fabric, essentially. If it had even been like a terra cotta, you know, the color of flower pots, I could have worked it in somehow. Just be aware, potential buyer, that this is not an "earth" colored shawl in any sense of the word. It's orange. The only reason I give it two stars instead of one is that it is batik, as advertised, so it gets one extra star for that.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Sort of. It's orange. Like, as in, really orange.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It's cotton. Like a cotton sheet, only not as soft.
- How accurate was the sizing? Accurate.

NOT AT ALL LIKE THE PICTURE!
From looking at the picture, I thought I was ordering a rose-hued, soft, flow-y scarf...No. It is a medium stiff, cotton orange , very orange, scarf. The batiking is nicely done, and if you want orange, then this is the scarf for you ! But, if you were imagining something pinkish and soft....DO NOT ORDER!

This is a gorgeous shawl!
A truley beautiful shawl. Purchased under the fair trade agreements made it an even better buy. I bought this for my neice and she loves it. I wish I had ordered two- one for myself!

The shawl was a gift. It is very soft and the colors were what I expected. The person who received the shawl really likes it.

Novica is just about the best manufacturer yet. Everything is so well packaged! And this scarf (which I used as a sort of runner for a open bar space between my kitchen and living room) is quality work and very beautiful! So happy.
