Well, I am sorry to say that I can't use this as a scarf at all. It is a halloween-orange rectangle of cotton fabric, essentially. If it had even been like a terra cotta, you know, the color of flower pots, I could have worked it in somehow. Just be aware, potential buyer, that this is not an "earth" colored shawl in any sense of the word. It's orange. The only reason I give it two stars instead of one is that it is batik, as advertised, so it gets one extra star for that.

From looking at the picture, I thought I was ordering a rose-hued, soft, flow-y scarf...No. It is a medium stiff, cotton orange , very orange, scarf. The batiking is nicely done, and if you want orange, then this is the scarf for you ! But, if you were imagining something pinkish and soft....DO NOT ORDER!
