Story Behind the Art:
This handcrafted bamboo chime has been made by Kedek Setiawan who lives in a village in Bali where most people work with bamboo. The technique has been kept intact for many generations, passed from elders to children. Kadek learned his bamboo furniture skills from his father and started making chimes for his children. He quickly discovered his creative side, which could be satisfied through his craftwork.

It's not too noisy and takes a good bit of wind to get it going...but we noted that it's not too loud like normal windchimes so that is a plus.

What an adorable wind chime! This piece is so cute. I ordered this wind chime for both the bamboo sound and the bird house straw hut. Perfect size for hanging from a tree branch or a shepard's hook pole. Lovely, peaceful sounding tones from the bamboo.
