Story Behind the Art
This handcrafted bamboo chime has been made by Kedek Setiawan, who lives in a village in Bali where most people work with bamboo. The technique has been kept for many generations, transmitted from elder to children. Kadek learned the bamboo furniture skills from his father and started making chimes for his children. He quickly discovered he had an avid creative side, which he could satisfy by making his crafts.

bamboo raguedy cat
It's very cute ....whimsicle...I have it hanging inside so it won't get weather damaged but the fan blows it sometimes & it has a deep bamboo hollow wood sound.......I like it very much

Dull chime is good
The duller sound of the bamboo chimes make this a nice item for the patio that is closer to the house. Wosh the cat wasn'r blue, however. Have since repainted it to match our own tabby!

It is rough raggety cat and wonderful.
I really love this wind chime. Most of them tinkle and make so much noise that you want to throw it away - not this one - it is made of all natural products and the sounds are soothing and interesting. It does not have to be pulled in if the weather is bad as it was made for any king of weather. It is great.
