Individually handcrafted by artists on the exotic islands of Bali and Java in beautiful Indonesia. Sarongs are one of the most versatile and earliest forms of clothing that dates back 1,000s of years and have been utilized around the world in one form or another. Batik is a design method that has been employed for centuries and is handed down from generation to generation, usually from a father to son or mother to daughter. It is an extremely difficult art to master and sons and daughters start this work at an early age because it requires a great deal of practice and patience. Each batik sarong is a work of art and can take hours and sometimes days to create depending on the difficulty of the design.

women's black bamboo sarong
I was surprised how quickly the order was processed. I really like the sarong...it's a nice weight, and is perfect for hot weather and to just lounge around in after a shower. I also use it as a cover-up in place of a robe. There's so many uses for it. I would highly recommend this. The price was right, too!

This is a great sarong... very comfortable to wear and exactly what I was looking for.... hot summer here in New York and this is the perfect coverup to beat the heat.
