Story Behind the Art:
This handcrafted bamboo chime has been made by Kedek Setiawan who lives in a village in Bali. The technique of working with bamboo has been passed for many generations, transmitted from elder to children. Kadek learned the bamboo furniture skills from his father and started making chimes for his children. He quickly discovered he had a creative side, which he could satisfy, making his crafts.

These chimes are very long
was worried it would not be big enough for a large, open style front porch, but because these are pretty long, they look great and are not dwarfed in comparison to the porch. I am a little concerned the hook holding them together is a little on the small side, but the string/cord they've used to string the bamboo is a strong woven string so I think these will hold up nicely.
