Not only are these bowls attractive but are totally functional. They are perfectly designed to keep the chopsticks in place while dining. They can be used for a variety of foods such as rice dishes, pasta salads. etc. Since they are bamboo, it makes me feel good to use them as bamboo is an environmentally sound product. I used them when I had company recently and my guests were so enthralled by these bowls that I have decided to give them a set of four for Christmas.

While they are very cute the size listed for the bowl is incorrect. I have 4 other bowls that are larger and wanted to replace them and so ordered two sets and was very disappointed in the small size. I am returning them and will likely get something different. I would have appreciated correct information so I could avoid the hassle of returning and repurchasing another item. They say the bowl is 7 in. dia. but it is only 5 1/2 from outer edge to outer edge. and the ones I have are 6 1/2 from outer edge to outer edge so I naturally thought this product would be larger - the small ones are of no use to me. I will say that I have loved my other bowls and we use them all the time. Hopefully the return process will be easy.

there is a very strong petroleum odor in the bowl. I have washed it many time and it won't go away. I can't use it and i am returning it.

This bowl set is wonderful. Chopsticks are very decorative. I got the red and it is a beautiful deep deep red, not bright as it shows in picture. Bowls are light and ergonomically correct and plates are heavy and very impressive. For anyone who likes to eat this way I highly recommend it. I got 2 for my son and his girlfriend who are vegans who live in Oregon. Perfect Perfect Christmas Gift.

Overall, very good product. Only downside was the chopsticks were bent and I am unable to use them. The bowl and plate are gorgeous.

Beautiful bowl set. The color is vibrant and the bowl is unique looking. I have it displayed on my island and when guests come over I get compliments on it all the time. It arrived extremely well protected, so it came in perfect condition. The contrast of the painted wood outside with the natural wood inside makes it more appealing and beautiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
