Product Features:
I am Nyoman Subrata of Bali. In the beginning, my older brother, Wayan Sukamara, taught me the various techniques of sanding and finishing. In 1974 I began to sculpt, taking inspiration from some of the finest statues and carvings of our region. The traditional forms and poses were of strong beauty and fine workmanship, which inspired me to learn this style. Traditional characters in religious mythology offer a variety of ways for an artist to express creativity and style. I wish now is to continue upholding the values of those who taught and inspired me, while being able to continue taking very good care of my family and my woodcarving group.

Not like the picture
I hate to give this a poor rating but it deserves it. I know that there is "The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece" but the one i received was horrible! The eyes and face...the most important part of the statue were extremely warped. The statue was also not as well carved overall as the one in the picture. For *** I expect quality. I of course returned the item. I still to this day wish I could buy the statue if it looked more like the picture!!
