After I bought this, I had buyer remorse while I was waiting for it to arrive. I was concerned that it might be "cheep" or poorly constructed -- one never knows when they buy art over the internet. My husband and I were delighted and surprised at the quality of craftsmanship and wood. To see it in person took our breath away. We purchased this as a gift for someone, but decided that we too have to have it. So, we are buying a second one for ourselves. By the way, it comes with a sheet that explains the history of the calendar and what all of the symbols mean. It's very interesting.

We bought this Aztec Calendar after our trip to Cozumel. We saw and priced many while in Mexico, and even with bargaining, could not get the vendors to sell one for under $300 for this size. I was a little leary ordering it online without seeing the exact one we were getting. They are all hand painted and just a little bit different. Ours is absolutely perfect. The quality is the best I have seen! The colors are brilliant with no flaws or chips whatsoever! The photos don't do it justice. It is a beautiful piece of artwork and was very well packed in styrofoam to prevent any damage. The intricate detail is superb! You won't be sorry with this one!

I bought this as a anniversary present for my husband and I am beyond impressed with the quality of it. It even came with a laminated sheet that explains the parts of the calender (but its in Spanish for those who can't understand Spanish, not a problem for us). I just can't wait to give it to him. The detail and the art work is amazing

A quality piece of artwork. This Aztec calendar is made with the quality one would expect from a piece 3x the price. The detail is exquisite and the colors are deep and vibrant. I am very satisfied as I held off from buying such artwork while visiting Cancun, Mexico. This piece is so much more detailed and precise. ndmcconn

The piece is very colorful, more blue than the picture indidcates, which is what I wanted. The frustration came in that there was no hardware to hand the item so I had to construct my own method.

It's a beautiful piece, but there are 2 things that I wasn't very pleased with... there is some spacing in between the wood pieces that exposes the backing and glue. Also, the pieces are painted and heavily lacquered so it has a very shiny finish that almost makes it look like plastic. I would have preferred if it had the look of stained wood. But my husband was very pleased with it and it looks beautiful hanging in our house!

I read many reviews before I purchased this item and they helped me to decide to go for it. I'm glad I did. I knew before I received it that my only regret would be that I wished it was larger than it is. But I knew ahead of time so have no complaints. It's pretty, has rich coloring, is interesting and I just feel good looking at it. Nice!

Nice quality product that is unique, interesting, and demonstrates old world craftsmanship. Makes a great decorative conversational item perfect for the sun room. Almost too nice to hang in the patio area.

When the box arrived and we opened it, we could hardly believe our eyes. This calendar is beautiful and is made with individual pieces of inlaid wood. This is a great addition to any room with Mexican decor. Great buy!

I got this as a birthday present for my boyfirend, who as it turns out was looking for the mayan calendar. He liked this one though, and it seems to be well made and very detailed. Very bright colors, so a nice aesthetic touch. We're building a porch room, where it will find a permanent home. It's not quite my style, but made a good gift.
