Story Behind the Art
Jorge Priori seeks to preserve a tradition that began during the Inca empire, when alpaca fiber was so highly treasured it was reserved for royalty. 'Our clothes and blankets are created with the combed technique which uses threads of different length and width, to recreate the type of weave the Incas favored.' Alpaca is considered a luxury fiber because it is as soft as cashmere and has the luster of silk; its up to five times warmer than sheep's wool.

Beautiful throw
Loved this! Bought it for my son's girlfriend. It was so soft and warm, I wanted to keep it for myself! Instead, bought myself one later!

Very pretty
I really love this throw, but it is very delicate. I love the colors and the design, but I don't want to ruin it so I rather use it for show.

Beautiful soft throw
It took 3+ weeks to receive throw as there was a mix up with the shipping (PO Box vs. street address) but it was worth the wait. This throw is light weight but good size and looks very elegant in my living room. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tan was warmer and richer than the photo. It really brings my room together. As for the shipping problem: this website would NOT let me enter my PO Box (even after the street address on the first line) and insisted I ship to a street address. Then they shipped the item via the Postal Service which does not deliver to my street address. When I contacted Customer service to reship item they said they didn't know ahead of time how the item would ship (UPS vs. USPS) but did reship the item using both addresses. I received it in the mail 10 days later.
