Story Behind the Art:
These exquisite lanterns are handmade by master artisans. An artisan will learn the craft from his father and the business is typically family owned. Tourists come from around the world to experience and admire this artistry. This artisan is a young talented craftsman who started out at the age of twelve and loved making these lamps. This was a way to help out his father and also he loves to show his skills to tourists. From working with tourists, he learned to speak French and English, without attending high school. This 20-year-old artisan is now living with his parents comfortably and continues to work in his father's shop in Marrakech.

description is no accurate
This lantern is very nice but the description is wrong about it. There is no emerald glass, in fact there is no glass at all! When I was ordering it I was confused about the emerald glass because in the picture it does not look like green light coming through. I ordered it anyway because the green glass was not issue either way it would work for me but if you are ordering it because it has emerald colored glass, don't do it! It looks just like the picture. It is a light bulb shining through a bronze metal type cylinder with cut out designs so the light shines through. I like it! but just know there is NO emerald glass and no glass at all! :)
