Story Behind the Art:
Raquel and husband Gregor are dedicate to preserving Peruvian textile traditions. 'What draws us to weaving is the opportunity to work with natural fibers by rescuing ancient Inca weaving techniques. We love to see the transformation of loose yarns into garments and accessories. We help an Andean community by employing weavers on traditional looms who then help us finish each piece by hand.'

Saved from frostbite!
I work at a computer in a cold room. My hands were freezing! These mitts are the perfect solution. The Alpaca wool is very soft, not scratchy at all. They don't inhibit my typing. And the colors are bright and pretty - didn't want anything that looked dark and wintery. Think I'll use these year-round. Very glad I ordered them from Overstock. Price was great and I really appreciate that this is a crafted item, not a mass-produced from a factory piece.
