Story Behind the Art:
Nestor Yana hails from the Puno region renowned for quality alpaca and sheep wool. He has been dedicated to the textile arts for more than 25 years ¿ a family trade for generations. When he first began to weave, he worked on the rustic looms he built along with other family members. Together they sold their wares at local markets until eventually they were able to acquire modern machinery, which in turn allowed them to develop newer designs.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Beautiful sweater
The color and pattern of this sweater caught my eye when I saw it online. I love the earthtone colors of this sweater and the intricate geometric pattern throughout. It is very well made and I'm sure it will give me years of pleasure wearing it. I look forward to this fall and winter weather so I can begin wear it. It is definitely a lovely addition to my collection of sweaters.
