Story Behind the Art:
Nestor Yana hails from the Puno region renowned for quality alpaca and sheep wool. He has been dedicated to the textile arts for more than 25 years ¿ a family trade for generations. When he first began to weave, he worked on the rustic looms he built along with other family members. Together they sold their wares at local markets until eventually they were able to acquire modern machinery, which in turn allowed them to develop newer designs.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

not South American?
A lovely sweater--my husband coveted it, even though it was for my father-in-law. But when he held up the Large, it was too small and they didn't have an Extra-Large--be careful!
