Story Behind the Art:
Nestor Yana hails from the Puno region of the Peruvian highlands, renowned for good quality alpaca and sheep wool. He has been dedicated to the textile arts for more than 25 years ¿ it has been a family trade for generations. When he first began to weave, he worked on the rustic looms he built along with other family members. Together they sold their wares at local markets until eventually they were able to acquire modern machinery, which in turn allowed them to develop newer designs.
What is Worldstock?
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Ordered on 3/29. Not expected until 4/18?!?
I ordered this item on 3/29. I received no communication until two weeks later that my order had been delayed. I couldn't just click on a tracking number to find the information (it says "unavailable"), so I had to go to the UPS home site and enter the tracking number there. I found out that it is not expected to arrive until the end of the day on 4/18. This is the longest I have ever had to wait for a shipment from Overstock. Even if the quality of this product ends up being superb, I wouldn't order this item again, knowing that it will have taken a full three weeks to reach my doorstep (and that is IF I receive it on 4/18). There should be a note on some items that shipping might take a while so that buyers don't accidentally assume they can buy a person a gift and have it arrive on time. I have never had an experience like this one with Overstock. Usually, shipping is very timely.
