Peruvian artisan Alfredo Falcon says, 'When I was but a small child I learned from my parents the best weaving techniques. Like me, they had learned from their own parents. This makes us a family entirely devoted to the world of textiles, and we have been for generations. Nowadays I combine weaving by hand and on classic machinery, remaining true to Inca and colonial motifs.'

Pretty but itchy
This is a beautiful Poncho is very well made and you can tell the take pride in the way it's packaged. However, I found it to be itchy. There was no odor like another review stated however, I couldn't get past the fact the material is a little scratchy especially since the turtle neck is right up against the skin. I was sorry to send it back but I know it would have drove me a bit crazy.
