I had had one similar to this that was bigger by the sink since 2008 and it had gotten too stained on the edging despite my effots to clean it.. I like the black edging on this and the darker brown bamboo plant on it. The backing on this is non slip also. This is great. for my space.

  • Beautiful -- If Expensive -- Wool Rug

    Jun 15, 2012

    lslibn  from Phoenix, AZ, Rating:5.0

This rug is perfect in our entry way because the door easily clears the rug with its .25" pile height. I even had enough room to add a mesh rug pad. I wanted a wool rug but finding one with a low pile height proved to be a challenge. The price made me hesitate, but the quality is excellent. The rug has 176 multicolored "bottle caps" that are all unique in appearance. (Note: These designs are not carved -- the rug is flat.) The pile is 100% hand-spun virgin wool with 100% cotton warp. The rug was hand-knotted and the accompanying label identifies the point of origin as the Swayambhu Carpet Industry in Kathmandu, Nepal. A postcard identifying the rug as a Worldstock Fair Trade product is included.

  • Can slip a bit on hardwood floors

They do have a rubber backing but can slip a bit on hardwood floors and don't always stay in place. Overall a good product but can be made better by having a better nonslip backing and like others have said a better boarder material.

So I bought two of these rugs, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. Both patterns are beautiful and I will probably buy more. I only gave 4 stars because they don't stay in place on tile. They slide around and so I have to figure out how to fix that. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase.

I'm being sneaky with this rug…….it covers a spot on my outdoor carpeted Sun Room that a plant really messed up this past winter. It simply looks as if it belongs there. Very nice.
