I ordered this item for a screened in porch area. I was looking for an indoor/outdoor rug. This is more like a mat you would use at the beach. Very lightweight, would blow away in a strong wind.

This rug looks very nice in the kitchen under the table. It is very decorative and adds to the decor. The quality is good and it is very is to maintain.

Looking at the back, the rug is evenly knotted throughout and the wool seems to be of a good quality, but the weave is very coarse, almost like a latch hook rug. The warp is of standard rug cotton but the weft running between each row of knots is very thick and appears to be of mixed fibers. This means there is about as much weft as there is wool in this rug. Also, the binding of the selvedge edges is very skimpy due to the thick weft. I have had the rug only a short time but the pile is already starting to lie flat. That said, it feels good underfoot and the dog likes to sleep on it when the cat will let him.

  • Love the design but not the quality

    monteverdi  from DC, Rating:3.0

The colors are not exactly as pictured but still pretty accurate. Edges are much too tight causing the corners to roll up, way up. Tried for a few days to make it stay flat, or just close to flat, but it wouldn't. Also, there are many lose yearns at the edges. Yes, i know it is hand knotted. i have other hand knotted rugs at home, but this is different. Also, the pile is very low.

  • Chinese bamboo Rug

The bamboo is of very poor quality. After 1 week, it begins to split and I think the rug need another coat of varnish. It is very dull looking.
