Story Behind the Art:
Thailand's Khun Pacume speaks of her craft: 'I learned to carve during the rice seasons, while we waited for harvest, from my father who learned from his father. Our family works together with cousins as time allows and there are jobs to carve. I create some of my own designs but most work is by customer design or modifications of my original designs. Working with wood is peaceful and allows our family to earn extra money between seasons.'
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill will create variations in color, size and design. Color differences may occur between the actual product and your computer screen. If buying two of the same item, slight differences will occur from piece to piece.

This piece is a great low cost, high style option for the home. I love the way t looks with all of my modern furniture and have been able to replicate a high end living room with all of my value pieces from overstock. However, this is real wood and the cracks in the wood have gotten bigger over time. I still like the piece though and plan on keeping it.Read More
Unique and perfect for my small space between chairs. Love this!Read More
The stool arrived quickly and was not damaged in any way. There are no large cracks or other problems that some of the other reviewers have been having. I am very happy with my purchase and can't wait for my other pieces to get in to finish the room.Read More
I'm using this stool as a coffee table base. It works well for this purpose. It is lighter then I thought it would be. I'm not sure how much weight it can handle as a stool though.Read More
We bought this to go next to a very low slinging chaise which features chrome and black and white accents. Our goal was to inject a little handcrafted wood accent table in an otherwise very modern and contemporary living room. We saw it on many other online retail sites for 2-3 times more. It's the perfect accent piece for us. But pay attention to the width and height you need because although it's just right for us we were seeking a very short end table and rejected many others which would have been too high next to our chaise.Read More
This is a very nice piece of furniture. More like artwork. One word of caution; the measurements are accurate. It's on the small size.Read More
I absolutely love my Twist Stools. They are smaller than I expected (I'm glad I ordered two, though I could probably use a third); nevertheless, they are gorgeous, well-made, and constantly drawing compliments from friends. I use them as seats, foot stools, and, together, as an alternative to a coffee table in my living room. They are so multi-functional! Definitely a good buy.Read More
I hate to say but I was so looking forward to this and I immediately but it back in the carton to return it after it came! There were too many splits in the wood on the top and one major spllit was very poorly "filled in " and others left in the base which would have made it difficult to clean etc.....not to mention, they reall detracted from the overall effect of what appeared to be a smooth and sleek piece. SORRY but, I cannot tell a lie !Read More
Stool was broken and nobody contacted me for replacement. I need an good one. Thanks.Read More
Questions & Answers
This is meant for indoor use only. Weather elements can ruin the construction of the item.
I would not put mine outside. The sun would dry it out and the rain would make it split.
Is there a weight limit for how heavy a person could sit on these stools?
There is no specified weight limit for this item.
That (200 pounds) sounds about right. The design could probably handle more, but it's actually more petite than you might think and someone over that size would overwhelm the seat and they would be very uncomfortable. Really, it makes a better side table than a stool - I say that because it's so thick near the upper and lower edges that it's hard to move it (there's nowhere to grab onto), so it's best if you can put it in one spot and leave it there.
I would like to purchase this stool, however I see one picture shows it has (naturally) a crack. Is there anyway I could secure to receive one without a crack? Thanks,
Any knotholes, cracks, natural inclusions or visible marks are results from the natural wood. This does not compromise the structural integrity of the piece, but is part of its design, and we cannot guarantee your Item will arrive with out any of these natural flaws.
