Pretty Good for the Price

Not bad for the money. The battery was dead when I opened the package. Luckily, it comes with a spare & a jewelers screwdriver to change the battery. The cutout in the foam-lined case is too large to hold the caliper snugly. The thumb-wheel wiggles too much, giving it a cheap feel. The instructions are very minimal and does not explain much, including how the caliper works when the user puts the battery in backwards. - Because it apparently works and has some different modes. HOWEVER, when you put the battery in correctly (a guessing game because there's NO markings) this caliper works nicely. "At the end of the day" this was a good buy.

I bought this for my son for his new business, which is making jewelry, and he absolutely loves it! He told me the instrument does much more than he had hoped and it was much nicer in person than the picture reveals. Sometimes you just have to see and hold something for it to be appreciated. But once again Thank You Overstock for coming through for me on another outstanding product at a great value!!!!
