Sweater Weather

Sweater weather is here! The air is crisp, but not too cold, and all you need are a few style basics to take the edge off. It's the perfect time to mix-and-match your summer basics with cool-weather-ready sweaters and boots. Fortunately, one of the biggest trends this fall is to pair cozy sweaters in unique silhouettes with swingy skirts and classic pencil skirts.

It's an easy outfit formula: Go bare-legged while the temps stay cool over the next few weeks, and just add tights when the weather turns truly frigid. A structured tweed-knit sweater is the perfect foil for a feminine A-line skirt, while a slouchy V-neck would make a sleek faux-leather pencil skirt a bit more casual and cool.

Of course, boots are a fall wardrobe necessity. Ankle boots are still having their moment, and they pair perfectly with a sweater-and-skirt combo. My guess is that you already have these pieces in your closet, but if you're looking for some fresh fall wardrobe additions, here are a few of my favorite  picks:

I love scarves, so I can't wait to wear them every fall.
