I enjoy using these snowshoes and they've held up well over the past few years. They are easy to attach to my boots. The first time I used them I was a little surprised that I sunk down a few inches in the snow--I had never used snowshoes before and I assumed that they prevented any sinking and stayed on top of the snow. Once I got used to lifting my legs more, it was fun and I could really feel the workout. One tip: Be sure to get the right size for your stride. Men have a wider stance than women and if women purchase wider snowshoes, it begins to hurt the hips after forcing a wider stance when walking. These are a perfect fit for me.
Bought these for my mom this past christmas. Upon putting them on in her living room to adjust the straps and not even stepping down on them the plastic piece under the foot cracked. She looked at the other one that was also cracked. I'm in the process of returning them but having difficulty printing a lable for some reason. Hoping customer service will be helpful. Not a great deal being as though the foot piece is plastic and we do have cold temperatures. Advice, get the ones that have the canvas type straps.
Have not had a chance to use yet, but am very impressed with the quality. I had looked at local shops before the purchase and found them much more expensive than the ones I purchased.
Yukon Charlies snowshoes appear to be every bit as well made as more expensive brands, and the Overstock.com price was outstanding.
Loved the snowshoes would highly recommend them to anyone that has every wanted to experience the outdoor wonderland of winter.
I bought two pairs for Xmas for my husband and myself. The price was remarkable compared to other retail outlets and web sites! We have used them once so far and they stayed on my feet and are durable. We are 1st time snowshoers and for the price they are a good product. I did have to tighten my bindings twice in a two hour outing, but we were in sum very deep snow in a remote mountainous area in Utah. They are slightly larger than some of the other snow shoes that I saw around me, but they worked just fine. I would recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks Overstock!
Product appears to offer good value. I am using these to replace some old SnoCraft shoes.
I gave this beautiful snow shoes to my husband and he loved them, and for the price I paid, it was a really good deal.
The Yukon's arrived and were exactly as described. They were small, light weight, and well made. They were the perfect holiday present! I highly recommend them for anyone planning to snowshoe this winter.
These are sturdy snowshoes that are easy to put on and take off. The price was good, and I'm very happy with them.
I tried these out for the first time yesterday, and was very pleased. They grip well when I'm going up and down hills, worked equally well on packed snow and loose snow, will be easy to take on and off now that I have the straps adjusted for my feet- now all I will have to do is undo one clasp whenever I go out. They are easy to walk in, and light. I have tried snowshoes that cost 3 times what these did, and see no discernable difference.
I have only used the snowshoes a for a few trips but they work great and were a great deal.
I purchased YC snowshoes paired with Sorels for all of my children and grandchildren as a Christmas gift. It snowed and they were put to immediate use. They were thrilled. Snowshoes appear to be durable, easy to adjust to shoes and very lightweight. Great value and great gift.
They are lightweight and the bindings stay tight Yukon Charlie snowshoes are a good bargain for the price you pay.
My Husband I spent about two hours out in these snowshoes yesterday going throught the trails around the mountain. It was a lot of fun, and the snow shoes made it a lot easier to make it through the snow. They're pretty lightweight, and were about as comfortable as they could be. I've never snowshoed before, so I don't have much to compare it to. I'm glad I got such a great deal on these!
I bought these for my daughter & her boyfriend. They really loved them. And enjoyed using them.
First time snow shoeing with my own shoes and it was great. Borrowed many others to compare first and went with these because of value and product performance. These shoes are light and durable - went on deep woods trail in New Hampshire, actually fell in a river, and by the time I got back to camp my boots were frozen to the snow shoe! Thawed them out and went again in the afternoon - shoes were perfectly fine.
These are for my daughter- she wanted a good quality snowshoe that she can enjoy the environment of Upstate NY during our snowy winters. I did some research, and these seem to fit the bill.
My affordable Yukon Charlies snowshoes look every bit as well made (and more attractive!) than the much higher priced ones I've seen at sporting goods stores. Can't wait for snow! My girls and I will be trekking on top of the white stuff!
The snowshoes are comfortable to wear and are fairly lightweight.
