Can't wait to wear these on snow. They seemed great for people like myself starting to snow shoe. Affordable, yet sturdy. Very happy with these! Great buy

  • These are a winner

this is the second time I have ordered these for a community "sled hill" and the adults like these sleds since they are smaller so you do not necessarily need to rope to pull them since they are small enough for kids to carry up, the stack into each other for easy storage, and are made in the USA. The plastic is pretty dense and tough since these take a real beating from kids and adults of all ages-the first batch of 12 we ordered we only broke two and that is because they get very rough and frequent usage with kids jumping on them and all sorts of crazy stuff that happens when you have have 5-6 little boys trying to pile on top of each other (helmets may be required next)---the other big pro to them being smaller is that you can ditch the rope so the kids have to haul them up the hill and the rope doesn't keep getting caught underneath when they slide down.

  • Good snowshoes for the price

These snowshoes were easy to clip on, seem to be made with good quality material, and worked great.. especially for the price. The only complaint I have is that snow got packed under my heels during walking and would cause my foot to slide sideways a little during walking. I had to chip the snow off my snowshoes with the poles a few times during walking. Might try spraying on a little Pam next winter.

  • Great for downhill, not so great for cross country

The venting system to keep both your glasses and the lenses on this goggles depends on movement of air which is greater when downhill sking but not so predictable when alpine sking.

    • How accurate was the sizing? slightly smaller than expected

Helmet is awesome. My issue is with overstock.com. Took a week to ship the product and after 4 days I tried to cancel, overstock said sorry, you can't cancel. When I received the helmet I noticed this product was marked as non-returnable so it's a good thing it fit. Overall, I will never, ever, ever buy anything from overstock.com again. But, the helmet is awesome.

    • How accurate was the sizing? fits perfect, my head is around a 56cm and the Medium fits perfect. You don't even know it's there when out on the slopes.
    • Please tell us about the quality of the product. In mold construction is light and low profile, looks and fits great!

    Snowboard Length?

I'm new to snowboarding and want to know how long a snow board to get? Is there anything else I need to know about a board?

    Posted 11/10/10 04:35 PM

Learning to snowboard is such a great idea -- it make winter much more tolerable. There's a great guide here about picking a board: http://www.overstock.com/Heaven-is-a-Halfpipe/2243/blogpost

The length of your snowboard depends a lot on weight. If you are just starting out, get a cheap all mountain snowboard, but splurge on your boots and bindings. Once you figure what you are doing, and what you like and don't like about your board, then get yourself a nice board.

Very easy hold the board up to your face it should reach between your nose and chin ideally being on your lips.
