I saw the commercial and I had to have this product. I bought 2 of them, one for me and one for my son. Although we have not had much snow yet (FINGERS CROSSED), we have had fun playing with the Blaster with water balloons and ice cubes. We love it!!!
My kids love this but do complain it is hard to shoot it. The bunge cord is difficult for 11 yrs and under. to pull.
This is a pretty neat little gizmo. The snow needs to be the right consistency for the "ammo" to work well, but the kids had a blast!! A little difficult for the weaker/younger kids to pull back on the launcher, but overall, a good fun toy.
My Grandsons who are 10 and 11 had a hard time shooting the snowballs. The machine actually made great snowballs, but the sling shot effectto shoot them was very hard for them to do. I thought it would work offsome kind of a spring trigger, but it didn't.
The Wham-o Snow Ball Blaster is a fun toy that makes perfect snow balls but after a while it is just easier to put the toy down and make snow balls the old fashioned way.
I'm glad I got one for each of my boys because it would be an unfair snowball fight if only one had it. It was pricey but built well, like a wrist rocket for snowballs. Makes perfect little snowballs and launches pretty far. Perfect gift for any age - even the awkward teen years. Son is 15 and loves it.
The 'sling-shot' part of the thrower is way to hard for kids to pull.
5 of these were purchased for my grandkids for Christmas. They were extremely pleased with them, and couldn't wait to try them out. Good fun toy for kids and adults of all ages.
No snow yet so I haven't tried it but I'm looking forward to bombing my neighbor.
I bought this for my 8 year old. It is set up like a slingshot and the elastic that is on it is so hard to pull back that the snowballs just flop out of the ball blaster because he is not strong enough to pull it. My husband and I can get it to work ok, but the snowballs don't go very far because it is awkward and hard to pull back.. It was a waiste of money.
By looking at the product it looks great. We will not have snow for a few months, so I cannot test it out. I bought it to give to my niece and nephew for Christmas, but I think my son and brother will have more fun with it, I feel sorry for the niece and nephew. We always enjoy being outside and this is one more activity we can do outdoors, but better, because we can make and launch snowballs with this, so it should give us more pleasure. Thanks
I am just glad I did not pay full retail price on this item. The appearance of the product is nice and it's pretty well made being it's plastic. The biggest issue, unless your kids are fairly strong, this toy is useless to them. It takes a lot of grip strength to pull the bands back and most kids under 10 will probably not be able to handle this toy. The snowball maker on the top is a nice concept but it does not pack the snow hard enough to use it to shoot it with. Most of the time, the snowball will just fall apart. You are better off making your own snowballs, pack it tight and shoot it for the kids. Again, it's nice toy for the price compared to what the retail is, I am keeping it when the kids get stronger but glad I didn't buy a bunch. Make sure you know what you are buying, this is not a "automatic" thrower, it operates like a sling shot.
fun toy, my son loves it. uses it in the snow, but you need sticky snowball snow to use this toy.
while the snowball blaster is as described it is difficult for an average size 8 year old to pull it back by himself to launch the snowballs
Santa left the Wham-O Snow Ball Blaster under our tree and we all ran outside to try it. Our 10 year old son could hardly pull back on the 'launcher' even after my husband tried to stretch it out several times. Then I tried and my snow ball went 15 feet, maybe. Then my husband was able to launch a snow ball approx 25 feet. We continue to try to stretch out the rubber sling so our son can play with his toy, so far it just sits on the curb while he throws old fashined elbow greased snow balls.
This thing is great, but it is basically sling shot powered so children wont be able to use it the same way adult will. It does take some power to pull back on the sling shot and launch the snowball, is really a fun thing but not for small kids, could be dangerous in the wrong hands too! It really does blast snowballs a great distance.
These were a X-mas gift. The kids love them!! They are all plastic, but durable.
I got this when it was a special offer - but unfortunately all the snow melted before I could use it... I'm looking forward to next year though.
