First off, like the other "reviewer" I don't actually own this knife, but I don't think anyone seriously needs a bad review to tell them that this knife is a novelty item and not intended for serious pocket knife use. Of course it's a ridiculous purchase, which only those bored people with excess wealth would purchase, but as testament to the long history and versatility of the swiss army knives, it's a pretty neat novelty item.
Wow again, this is so cool! I,like, took it to the bar the other night and some punk tried to jump me - when he saw my knife, he ran so fast cos' , hey, I'm a tough looking dude and this knife just says it all man!! First off, it's way cool !! Second, it fits my lifestyle, open to new experiences, multi-talented, like variety and only. I mean only, score cool stuff! Bet you want one ,right! Hey man, it's the ultimate knife. And hey, just because I'm only five-one doesn't mean I can take being called names like'Shrimp' and 'lil turd'. So now I can defend myself with this great knife Just got to find some pants with a bigger pocket and I'm set. Serious stuff this knife, way cool!!
- How accurate was the sizing? A little large
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Fantastic
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? yeah!
This knife is for the type of people who feel the urge to drive a monster truck out to the supermarket. Knife looks "interesting", its only saving grace is that when there is a lack of people buying them, they may stop production, and bingo! You might have made an investment in a collector's item. Personally, my Victorinox Swiss Tool (original model) that I have had for about 12 years is what I stand by. It is made with very strong and very high quality stainless steel and all the tools move and lock into positions as well as the day I bought it. I have used it for everything from home repairs, basic product assembly to camping craft. I would say it's the "Dyson" of multi-tools and I made a very selective choice after considering leatherman at the time, although they have some very good stuff today too. If I had to replace it, I would compare the current leatherman range against the swiss tools range to decide.
Ok - so it looks good on your desk - but lets face it, this is NOT a pocket knife. Which pocket would you put it in? At the point you exceed 8 tools on a knife - it is just too bulky to fit in pocket. I carry a multitool these days instead of my old swiss army knife, and that rides in a belt pouch. Nice novelty item, but not a tool anyone could use - and with that being said, who cares if it has a lifetime warrantly since it will sit in a drawer somewhere.
