This is a very nice machine. very smooth considering it uses bushings. I own a couple other Body Solid pieces of equipment for my home gym and they are solid & well built. Add the lifetime warranty and they are one of the best. Only negative I have to say is it does not come with the sleeves for olympic weights (a little decieving because every picture shows them with them on it). Wish they would throw those in the box (Most people use olympic weights these days!)

I purchase this Multi-Purpose Weight Bench this tuesday June 22 2010, It arrived at 11:30am this Thursday June 25 delivered by Fed-Ex! Which is amazing considering heavy machines can takes months to be delivered, mines came in just three days (not including purchase date). I assemble this machine in about 2 hours (including breaks and a qucik lunch): and easy to read instructions and all parts (screws, washers, etc) came in a sealed plastic cardboard which is great. I will give an update on how good this weight bench hold up to a large size leg exentison machine in about a month or two: Last but Not Least: I have been meaning to buy a leg extension machine for my lower body since I left school (I tone up really well with just a few equipment, leg extension machine being one of the machines I used), Walking does your body good, but it can't replace a well made exercise machine: asked any celebrity, they get their body in amazing shape using well made/well quality exercise machines. So for anyone trying to get in shape consult your doctor, do your research on your body, and compare exericse equipment prices, ease of use, and dependablity online Then dive into working out with weights and small home gyms like this weight bench: You'll be proud of yourself and you'll also tone your body in less time then just using a traditional workout regimen like: Walking, sensible eating, food restriction Trust me I went from 200 to 154 in a month in half (eating seven times a day) and not restricting any foods using light weights, small gym equipments like: leg extension machince and arm machine, walking, eating breakfast, and limiting stress, and walking, walking, walking!

I was impressed by the quality of the machine. My only complaint is that the tool listing on the parts was completely wrong.

Would probably buy a machine that is a little more stable but overall it does what it says. Am glad I got the one with 20 speeds instead of only 12 as I am already using the top speed after a week of having it. Too soon to see any results yet.

Bought this machine after reading 3 reviews on it and was pleasantly surprised when I got it put together, the only thing I didn't really care for were the instructions, not very well described and the parts not marked , but only made one mistake in assembly and caught it before I went much further, was getting really burned out on going to the gym after work so I bought this to keep up my favorite exercise at home & cancelled my membership at the gym. This machine will do every thing I hoped and glad I bought it, will probably buy another machine in the near future. Strongly suggest this if you're in the market for a fly machine, took about 2 hours to put it together and would have been much quicker if the instructions had been easier to understand, but that's my only complaint. Thanks

We bought the Stamina 1700 Power Tower to use with the P90X fitness program. We wanted a pull-up bar that did not have to attach to our walls, ceilings, or on our door frames in our new home. Overstock.com had the best price because of the 2.95 shipping ... other sites wanted 30 just for shipping. The 1700 has a heavy duty frame and was pretty simple to put together. The only problem we have had with it is that when doing pull-ups, we have to be careful as the machine rocks and wobbles on the floor, we are not sure if it is because it is set on the concrete garage floor that has a slight slope in it. We have found by doing pull-ups facing the opposite way then the machine is more stable. Overall it serves the purpose that we need it for.

Great quality & durability, great design, easy to assemble (takes ~90 minutes or less to put together if familiar with gym equipment), great calf machine for home equipment, only downside is that it does not come with olympic size adapters

I have a 15 yr old daughter with a spinal cord injury--a paraplegic, so bought for home physcial therapy. She insisted putting the machine together on her own, which I encouraged. There were soooo many pieces with instructions not so comprehensible. Her brother, who's very mechanically inclined, was able to discern what needed to be done, but my daughter put nearly all of it together on her own. The pieces that didn't seem to fit together have little inside screw fittings that need to be unscrewed first with the hex keys before fitting metal tubes inside. Overall, the machine is well built, heavy-duty, durable and appears will last a very long time. My fault for relying on my daughter to read what all was included in the set, otherwise, I would have gotten a machine with weights included.

The build quality was very good for the price, and the assembly was easy using a wrench and socket ratchet. I am not using particularly heavy weights so capacity is not a concern with me. It looks like the weight bar will hold about five 50-lb disks. In using the machine, I found it to be somewhat awkward. To get in position, you have to raise the leg arm out of the way and then bring it back into position to start the exercise. Once in this position, you have to put the T-shaped leg brace into place. I suggest that you watch the YouTube video by the manufacturer to make sure you understand how it works before making the purchase. I would have bought the machine had I watched the video before my purchase, but watching the video beforehand would have given me a head's up on the rather involved process of getting into position to start an exercise. Overall, I would recommend this machine for the home gym. It is not commercial quality, but it is well built for the price.

It took most of a day to assemble this product. Everything was present but directions on either assembly or use (none on the company's website, either). Now that it's together, I like it a lot. It's very sturdy, well-designed, and comfortable. But a parts list and exploded picture of where the various pieces go is not a substitute for clear instructions on how to proceed with putting this exercise machine together. Also, while use of a leg curl machine isn't rocket science, it might be nice to have some basic instruction as to seat and weight position, and even some help with what weights to start with, number of reps, etc. So, bottom line, good product at a good price, but would have been five stars with assembly and use instructions.

I rate this machine better than the club machine. The machine is sturdy and easy to use. The assembly was simple and took around 30 minutes to complete. Before ordering, I was nervous, the machine might work well for my proportions (I am six feet tall and around 200 pounds). I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the machine.

In actuality, needles need to be chosen on a project-by-project basis, with the weight and texture of your fabric in mind. For these reasons, choosing sewing machine needles can be a complicated process. Use our tips to ensure that you are getting the correct sewing machine needles for your sewing project.

Exercise benches are extremely versatile pieces of equipment. Although in gyms, exercise benches traditionally serve as a spot for bench presses and other barbell exercises, they are actually useful among weights and machines for working all of your muscle groups. They look simple, but they are very useful in a fitness routine, especially a weight lifting and cardiovascular workout plan. To properly use an exercise bench, think beyond bench pressing to the multitude of opportunities for including it in a general fitness plan that involves using a wide range of weights and machines.
They help you lose weight and tone your body, but elliptical trainers do it in a way that is less stressful on the joints than stair climbers and treadmills. If you're looking for a great cardiovascular workout that tones your arms and legs and is easy on your joints, an elliptical trainer, also called an elliptical machine or an elliptical cross trainer, may be the way to go. There is no shortage of choices in home elliptical trainers, from gym-style cross-trainers to mini-steppers. Select an elliptical machine based on your goals, your fitness level, your finances and the features you desire in a home gym machine.
New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines
Weight benches are standard fixtures bought and used in most home gyms. They are one of the most popular home gym machines on the market today. Your basic weight bench consists of a board that measures about 1 foot wide and about 3 feet long and is supported on metal legs. The board is padded for the comfort of the user.
