wok
from Wappingers Falls, NY,  Jan 28, 2009

This is a great product. A little heavy. I only wish it came with a lid. I use it for frying food, heating, and just about for everything. If your looking for a wok that will last a life time this is the one. You just have to cure it with oil and nothing will ever stick to it.

Iron Wok
from San Fran,  Jan 28, 2009

I had been looking for a wok that didn't use teflon and when I saw that this was made of iron I quickly made my purchase. The box upon arrival was damaged and the plastic bag that wrapped the wok was torn and stuck to the wok's textured surface. The wok itself takes some getting used to. The texture is so rough that I've had to adjust my cooking style, as "stir fry" now means that my stirring utensil (made of wood) has been rubbed down to a nub. This rough-and-tumble cooking pot seems more like something you find in a blacksmithing shop for melting down ore used in making swords and armor and other such medieval antiquities, but it does get the job done, and I enjoy knowing that I'm not leaching toxic teflon into my veggies when I cook 'em up.
