After a lot of research looking for compact and stable standalone squat stands i settled on the BD-3. I have to say I have been pleased by this. It is sturdy for my needs (allows weights <= 250 lbs), was very easy to assemble and occupies very little space in my garage. It is quite pleasing to look at and not at all like the oversize monster that I have purchased before. The height adjustments allows me to bench press and squat. Overstock shipped it on time before the holidays with a label recommending that parts be inspected immediately on receipt. I didn't have the time to do so but I was pleased a week later to find out that all the parts were there in the box. My overall impression of the BD-3 is that it has been thoughtfully designed. It was quite attractively priced too.
