LED Headlight

yellowroseoftx Oct 31, 2009

My 1st LED experience was a crank flashlight of 3 LED. I needed a hands-free light. The expectation was minimal power, casting a blue light.I have now used it on weekday mornings for almost a month & find the light throws a good 20 feet. Cycling thru the button engages 2, 4, or all 8 LED and OFF. It uses 3 AAA batteries, has an almost clear light, plenty of elastic web for adjustment, padding for the unit against your forehead, and the fun part - from a straight forward position the light/battery unit swivels down. Since I can hang it by the webbing versus a flashlight laying in a drawer or on a shelf, this little gem is always nearby.

Headlights

babemoon from DeSoto, TX, Jun 18, 2009

These are perfect! We use them not only to walk on the beach at night, but also when I need a brighter light for sewing. The men in our family use them for plumbing lights, working on the car, and grilling in the evening at the beach. When the power went out at our house a few days ago, we popped two of them on our grandchildren, and used the third one to locate what we needed to get the power back on. So handy! Light weight, but sturdy with fully adjustable head straps fitting adults and children alike. Easy to change batteries, tilt light holds it's position, and light brightness is just right (with so many options of low all the way brighter), this headlight could not be designed better. So far we have not had to change the batteries. I bought 3 and now want more!

DuraStar headlamp

kyyote from Maine, Mar 8, 2009

This headlamp has the 3 point adjustable system webbing for over the head as well as around the head area. It has 3 light adjustments, low (2bulbs), medium(4bulbs), high(all 8 bulbs) and is of the LED family of headlamps. It is bright, light weight, easy to manipulate on/off, uses 3 AAA batteries. The forehead area of the lamp is padded well for against the skin comfort. I am switching over to all LCD cool burning lights for all my portable light sources. I use 2 of the small 3 1/2 inch LED barrel lights for hiking/camping all which take the AAA battery. I use this headlamp for in camp use, while backpacking, at home for hands free capability, hunting/fishing etc. Reading to night hiking, this light will cover it all. And for the canoeist on the water after dark it can't be beat for hands free light for being spotted while on the water or for a signal. Keep several in your survival kit, one for each member of the family for those times the lights go out or for those in severe storm prone areas.
