This is a great replica piece. It look exactly like the real Marine NCO Sword. The un-trained eye probably could not tell the difference if you laid the real and replica next to each other. I am a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant and I will add this sword to my collection of USMC treasures. You can beat the price the real Marine NCO Sword cost several hundred dollars. Overstock you did it again. I appreciate it!

This is not ceremonial quality. That being said, it looks great for the price. The brass isn't as smooth as it should be, and there are minor blemishes on it. This is something you can put on your wall and in a shadow box. The blade engraving looks good. There is a screw visable in the scabbard also. Overall I think this Is a good buy for $30.

I like the fact that my order was delivered quickly and it had no damage to it whatsoever. Anyone who has had a problem with their delivery has blamed the wrong people. Ultimatley it falls on the shoulders of the delivery person to keep an item in good condition. I definitley will be using overstock.com for things i have a hard time finding in ordinary stores.

Based on the reviews I read here I thought the sword was going to be just okay. I bought it for my fiancee who is an NCO and was missing it from his Dress Blues Uniform and I thought it would be a nice gesture until he gets the real one. When it arrived his uncle who happens to be a Marine as well was impressed by how great it was and looked. Said that he almost couldn't tell the difference between the pricey $600 one or this gorgeous replica. I am SO satisfied and very likely recommend!

nice display piece, it actually has a balanced weight and is functional. the only set back is that the scabbard clasp seem to be on the wrong side, and the fastening screws are not brass to match the details.

Great usmc sword--when put beside the original, its hard to tell the difference. Also bought other repro german daggers. great items. now looking for usmc officers dress sword. thanx
