Yuck
 Oct 23, 2008

Don't buy these. They may look nice, but looks don't help with anything. As the person below me said, they are very slippery. Instead of being soft, the heals are made of hard rubber which does not allow you to stop...this presents a small problem if one does not want to fall into the lane. Furthermore, the heal on mine has already cracked and I haven't even worn them for a month. At this point, the shoes that you can rent from the bowling alley are better than these shoes. I would avoid them.

Tuxedo Bowling Shoe
from Yonkers, NY,  Oct 1, 2008

Love the shoes. for the price it is worth it. My only problem with it was it was very slippery. I tend to slide when I bowl and these shoes put me off balance due to it being more slippery. To slow down my slide I was advised to take a damp cloth and on the sliding foot and rub it down a few times before bowling and it will slow you down, but not soak it. Now it being almost 5 weeks later I only have to pat it down once and It works fine. Love the shoe :)

Good product for the price
from Houston, TX,  Aug 17, 2009

I was happy with the look and feel of these shoes, but as others have said, they are very slick at first and take some getting used to. Don't expect to bowl your best games ever at first. I have played about 15 games with them and I am just now getting used to the slick feeling that I have under my feet.

tuxedo bowling shoes
from Richmond, VA,  May 14, 2009

I bought these for my teenage sons. He loves them and for the price they are WAY better than the yucky ones you get to wear from the bowling alley. Look sharp and feel cozy. Thanks OVerstock!

These are one of the best pair of bowling shoes I've ever worn. The only knock on them is that they are intended for right handed bowlers. Being left handed, I had to make a modification to one of the shoes. Other than that, they are great bowling shoes.

Good Product
from Chicago, IL,  May 1, 2008

Good product for the price. I compared the shoes to an Etonic shoe and you can tell the difference in appearance, but bowling with them feels the same as a more expensive shoe. They work for me.

Looked great. Perfect sole for a serious bowler. The fit was excellent. The value was unbelievable. Similar shoes sell for much higher.

Not the Best Quality in the Sole
from Whittier, CA,  Dec 20, 2007

I purchased the bowling shoes for my dad as a gift. The upper part of the soes is okay, but the foam like material around the soles are the problem. There are a few holes in the rim around the soles. As if the material they used didn't set correctly, and air bubbles popped when the material was drying. There aren't too many holes, but enough to make me not recommend this item as a gift. If you were going to use these shoes for yourself, then I don't see a problem.

Great shoes
 from Chicago,  Dec 15, 2007

I ordered these shoes for my husband for bowling. I wish I would have gotten a pair for myself. They are made well, but they look great! Everyone on our bowling league asked him where he got his shoes! They are so much better that the ones you can get at local sporting good stores that try to look like tennis shoes. His bowling isn't too good, but he looks great!

The sizing was about half size larger than most shoes. They are also VERY slippery.
