What is the highest adjusted seat height, ground to seat?
I read the other reviews on here. The gentleman who had a difficult time must have had a defective one. I am a military wife, so I'm used to doing things on my own. I decided to finally put this together for my 3 year old. In the time it took my oven to preheat, I had it 3/4 of the way together. It took 2 or 3 tries to get the rear wheel pushed together and the screw tightened, but it was more a matter of not having an extra set of hands. I have been looking a while for a balance bike for my son and stumbled across it at a local store. Bought it and shipped it overseas with our stuff. Great for learning how to ride a bike. I wish I would've gotten this with my older boy. I just have one question: Do they make them in adult sizes?!...

Both my daughters LOVE this bike! I couldn't be happier with my purchase for the discounted price I paid. Pluses: They ride it easily everywhere--on sidewalks, grass, asphalt. Seems comfortable enough for rides several blocks (about half mile) long. Also, lightweight so girls can pick it up and carry it up/down steps on their own! Both my 7 and 4 year old find it easy to use, as do their friends. This is the best deal on a wooden balance bike I have seen! Minuses: Not so easy to adjust: it comes with the seat in place, so in order to adjust it, you unscrew the two posts and each has 4 pieces to it! If you pay attention to how they come apart (one side is thicker than the other), you can get it back in correctly. It took me two tries and probably half an hour to do this.Read More
I would never buy this again. Like your average father and husband I have put together dozens, maybe even a hundred different house hold items and toys (grills, christmas trees, cribs, playsets and toy kitchens). Most have a little difficulty with a shimmy here and an agressive tap there, but I have managed to get them all up and working properly . But enough about me..... Putting the bike together took way longer than it should have. When assembling the wheels the wood is not cut to line up with with rod that the wheel spins on, so getting that together is misserable. None of the pieces connect to each other, so you have to balance 5 pieces of hardware and plastic until you can pass the rod through. I must have dropped it a dozen times before I could get it together. Adjusting the seat was even worse. There are three pieces of wood that have to be jammed in a small space before you can again get two seperate metal rods through 5 holes (the three pieces of wood plus the outside frame). It is basicly like trying to play Jenga after drinking a six pack (only the bad parts). If you are like me you will find out the hard way that there are slight angles in the wood blocks that make the seat straight. They are not labled, nor in the instructions, nor that easy to figure out when you are looking at them. This nightmare could have been avoided by the company springing for a few screws. Makes me wonder what else they skimped on. I just hope my kid never grows and I have to adjust it agian.. I will give it a possitive, it looks nice when it is assembled, and my son likes it. I am done assembling it now, but if I were to do it again I would pick a different one.Read More
