We got this one after we got the big one for my husband, since my son wanted his own. Great price, works great...my son absolutely loves it, he wants to bring it EVERYWHERE we go, it's funny.

We bought this for my 11-year-old son. It beeps too much and can be too sensitive, but it's not as highly priced as some and seems to work well enough for kids. I would recommend it.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and was very disappointed with the quality. The arm was not self adjusting for proper height. You practically have to be right on top of a metal object for it to even be detected. Needless to say, my son only used it Christmas morning and that was it. I was a waste of money!

I never really thought much about this but i have to say that this is not only a great gift but a great tool. I saw how much my son enjoyed using it. He also found coins and othere valuables. Defintely getting the adult version.

very disappointed in this item. It is too short for my 9 year old grandson. It looks like a toy rather than an actual working detector. havent had it long enough to rate the duability or workmanship yet but he was very dissappointed. The info made it seem like a more adult actual working item. Expected much more for the money.

I bought this product for my 6 year old and he absolutely loves it. His father and I have a great time hiding things around the house or in the backyard for him to find. It's definitely meant for a child to use so I wouldn't buy this for us, but just great for kids!!!!
