I gave this chess set to my 10 year old grandson for Christmas. He is passionate about playing chess and likes that he can put set away in middle of a game.

Although I didn't open this chess set. I did Christmas wrap it. It seemed much smaller than I expected and cheaply made. I do hope the little boy that wanted a chess set will like it anyway.

OUR GRANDSON TURNED 6 YRS. OLD AND LOVES TO PLAY CHESS BUT OUR SET IS HEAVY AND HARD TO GET OUT OF THE CASE. THIS IS PERFECT.

Only travel chess set I know where you can: - easily store the game between moves - easily carry becasue it is medium size and weight - easily see and differentiate the pieces (many travel sets are just too small) - magnet is strong and pieces are not easily dislodged I have played several times and I like it. It easily fits in carry on luggage

Executive grandson was really pleased with this chess set -- a requested Christmas gift. He considers it a well made item that will stand the rigors of business travel. The size meets his expectation and he was genuinely appreciative that I found one he'll enjoy during the many hours away from home.

we bought the set for our grandson who is starting a chess club at school, after his grandfather taught him the game we decided to purchase a set that a 15 year old could use and not worry about it being broken. This makes it easy for him to take it back and forth from school because you can keep the pieces in place and put the top on and go. A perfect set for a teenager.
