Purchase this for my husband, who is an avid fisherman. 1st the close face reel, push botton was broken. 2nd rod was strip, so assembly (sp) was impossible. My hubby said the kit was cheaply made.

He loved the compact size and light weight. He would like to know, however, if it is for use in both salt and fresh water, as he fishes in both. Most of our travel, though, would be to salt water destinations. Please reply.

I received item within a few days & gave it to my father for father's day. The case was in great shape, as well as the rods & reels. Would have liked the case to be plastic, but the foam inside the case keeps everything from getting tangled. Everything works great!
